When it comes to choosing a mortgage lender, don't just take our word for it. See what hundreds of happy homeowners have to say.
Ryan and his team made me feel like I was part of a family and walked me through the entire process, step by step. They answered all my questions and got me into my first home. I highly recommend them to anyone considering their options!
Steve Delon and his associates they've been real good and helpful to me. Made the process and transition very smooth and explained everything to me and great detail. I recommend them to anybody who is wanting to do alone, especially a VA loan. Closing on my house Wednesday which is quicker than I expected. Thank you to THE TWO MORTGAGE GUYS.
Tremendous team - knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, easy to work with, punctual, and a whole lot of other positive adjectives for The 2 Mortgage Guys. I can't say enough good about this business... Highly recommended and would refer anybody to this company.
I HIGHLY recommend working with The 2 Mortgage Guys! Steve & Angie have made refinancing my home simple and stress-free. They gave me clear, step-by-step direction throughout the entire process and truly went above and beyond. I loved receiving videos from Steve walking me through what to expect during each phase; it made me feel so supported! Any time I had a question, they were more than willing to answer and provide the information I needed.
Everyone at The 2MG is awesome. I dealt mainly with Angie, but the whole team was above and beyond knowledgeable, professional, friendly and helpful! Y’all stuck with me thru thick and (mostly!) thin. A great big THANK YOU to all!
It’s always great to work with the 2 Mortgage guys. Steve and his team kept me informed and made the process so easy. Having been in the Real Estate industry for over 40 years, I have met many many lenders in my career and I would have to say these two guys definitely stand out!
Luminate Bank's story is anything but ordinary. Its banking roots date back to 1937, but the Luminate we know today began taking shape when longtime mortgage leaders Eric Lovins and Taryn Reuter set out to build a different kind of financial organization—one centered on relationships, transparency and doing what's right for the people it serves. In 2020, Eric, Taryn and Thomas Payne acquired a Minnesota bank and mortgage company and began building the Luminate brand, a name inspired by the Latin root for "light." Their vision was simple: make complicated financial decisions clearer and create an organization where both customers and employees could thrive.
That vision has fueled remarkable growth. What began as a six-person mortgage operation has grown into a nationwide organization of more than 700 professionals, with Luminate Bank now licensed to provide mortgage financing in all 50 states. Bank assets have grown from approximately $62 million to $500 million in five years, while annual mortgage originations have grown from $22 million to more than $4 billion. Today, Luminate combines the resources, technology and lending capabilities of a major national mortgage lender with something increasingly difficult to find in financial services: experienced local professionals who know their customers and remain personally invested in their success.
And the industry has taken notice. Luminate Bank is recognized as a Top 25 national mortgage lender and was named the #1 Large Company Top Workplace in Minnesota, Colorado and New Jersey in 2026. The bank also earned two Freddie Mac Home Possible RISE Awards for Greatest Volume and Fastest Growth, while Eric Lovins and Taryn Reuter were named 2025 Mortgage Leaders of the Year by the Minnesota Mortgage Association. Those accomplishments are impressive, but they're really evidence of something bigger: Luminate has grown without losing the people-first culture that made that growth possible.
